Today would have been the 80th birthday of Russian rocket scientist Alexander Lemansky.

Lemansky was the man behind Russia’s new-generation S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft system. In his lifetime, he published over 150 scientific works. He died in 2007.

Igor Ashurbeyli wrote a book about Lemansky, simply called “Alexander Alexeyevich Lemansky,” and published it in 2011 in Moscow.
